In Step 3, the Strategic Buyout Program will order a title report to:
- Confirm your current ownership of the property
- Identify all owners
- Verify other property details, such as mortgages or other liens.
If review of the ownership documentation or property title report identifies any ownership issues (e.g. deceased owners or deed restrictions), they must be resolved prior to moving to Step 4.
During Step 3, if the title report identifies property owners that are not the applicant or co-applicant, the program will reach out to those non-applicant owners to let them know the property is progressing through the program. The participation of non-applicant owners is not required until Step 5.
