Tropical Storm Fred Action Plan Public Hearing

The NC Office of Recovery and Resiliency is seeking feedback on a draft action plan for spending $7.9 million in HUD Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding for Tropical Storm Fred recovery. The draft action plan includes detailed information about how NCORR will use these federal funds to implement disaster recovery assistance in western areas of North Carolina that were designated as Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) Areas by HUD due to impacts from the storm. 

As part of the public comment period, Haywood County will host a public hearing on Monday, Aug. 15, at 5:30 p.m. The public can review the draft action plan in advance of the meeting, and share feedback on how the federal funds should be administered.

Comments on the draft action plan must be submitted by Aug. 30, 2022 at 5 p.m. EST.
