The Affordable Housing Development Fund (AHDF) program seeks to create new public housing in a way that is more responsive to the needs of hurricane-impacted communities. The second round of AHDF funding will provide gap financing to local governments for multi-family housing rehabilitation and new construction outside of the 100-year floodplain. The funding aims to allow realization of developments that have not met their funding needs and to expedite the pace of qualified, new construction or rehabilitation projects that are otherwise shovel-ready.
Program applicants can attend this technical assistance webinar for help completing the online application. Grant applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. Sept. 16, 2022.
