Pollocksville Strategic Buyout Information Session
The ReBuild NC Strategic Buyout Program aims to protect communities from future flood events by working with local governments to identify high-risk areas called buyout zones. The voluntary program provides financial assistance and generous incentives to help property owners located in these buyout zones move to safer locations. Properties that are purchased are demolished, cleared and kept as community green space permanently where no future construction will be allowed.

The following areas in Pollocksville are being proposed as potential buyout zones.
People with a property in one of the proposed buyout zones are invited to attend an information session about this voluntary program.
